About The McAga Group

McAgaGroup History

McAgaGroup represents a remarkable story of international entrepreneurship, combining Turkish and Scottish cultures under the visionary leadership of its founder, Şahin Vahap Fırat, widely known as AGA Fırat. AGA Fırat arrived in Scotland in 2000 as a student and transformed his humble beginnings into a global business empire through hard work and determination.

Foundation Process

While pursuing his university education in Scotland, AGA Fırat started his entrepreneurial journey. He initially excelled in the real estate industry by facilitating property sales in Turkey to international buyers. Later, he expanded into jewelry, leather goods, and the restaurant business. After completing his education, he provided financial and investment consultancy services to high-level companies, which inspired him to establish his own ventures.

Development of McAgaGroup

  • Coffee and Café Industry: AGA Fırat opened his first café, Coffee N More, in Edinburgh city center. He later launched The Wall Coffee House and ventured into international coffee production by acquiring coffee plantations in Colombia and Kilimanjaro. By purchasing the historic Terra Coffee company in Italy, he brought its production to Scotland and quickly expanded its coffee distribution across the UK.
  • Hospitality and Restaurant Sector: He entered the hospitality sector with the establishment of Smith Place Hotel. Additionally, he acquired the London-based Not Just Coffee chain, significantly expanding its presence across the UK.
  • Technology Sector: Through the foundation of Swifsco LTD, he made significant contributions to IT and technology, securing major innovative projects.
